Autumn; and a blog milestone!

It’s a beautiful time of year…

halloween socks!
I know they aren’t hand knit, but they still make me smile! 🙂

My blog (in it’s current incarnation, that is) is about to hit a 10,000 views milestone — and sometime in the next couple weeks, someone will be the 500th commenter. I cannot tell you all how much I enjoy all my blog friends. I appreciate talking to you, reading what you write, and knowing that you are here reading about my life & the things that are important to me.

So I’m going to say thanks. I’ll be sending out 2 gifts — one for the 500th commenter, and one random commenter who posts the day my blog makes it to 10,000 views. 🙂

On to more blog business! I’ve been a bit lazy lately, so I have a bunch of random links for you. 🙂 First up is a nifty blog called A Year of Crockpotting — I’m hoping to try out some of the recipes; I sure could use a little mealtime inspiration! Sheri at TheLoopyEwe also had a nifty little chocolate fix type recipe. 🙂 On a more knitterly note, Through the Loops is having a mystery sock knitalong that looks gorgeous (although I’m not taking part right now — too much on my knitting plate) — check out Peaknit & Linda’s. Krisknits is a really nice blog I’ve come across. it’s one of those blogs you happen upon and before you realize it, you’ve read months of posts because it’s so interesting (and with excellent photography).

The last of the links I have are drooling opportunities — the Yarn Harlot posted a link to this excellent knitters gauge necklace that I thought was nifty. A bit out of my “spend on me all at once” price range, but I keep coming back to it…hmmmm; my birthday is coming up! (hint, hint, honey… ;)) lol This link is more accessible; it’s a preview to the Interweave Knits Holiday edition. Not as fantastic as last years (who could beat that one, though!), but pretty nice — I love the bag with the thistle. 🙂
