Boo!

Well, how was that?  I post my first every blog contest, then disappear for what? A week?   Of course I plead motherhood…and Halloween, of course!

I didn’t blog a whole lot about the saga of sewing this year’s costumes; I figured if I had gotten sick of listening to myself whining about it, then you surely would have!  lol  That said, I’m brimming over with happy contentment that things came out well.  Dorothy was much better than last year’s Princess Peach costume (aka Princess Puke) — I even fielded a “where did you buy that” comment, or two! Never mind that it was dark — I still felt special.  😉

I’m also responsible for the scarecrow & the tinman (God bless my tin man — who really does have a heart — and a lot of patience!  lol).  Other than my 3 year old behaving, well, less than lovingly when I tried to put some finishing touches on his costume, “no momma, take this stupid thing off me!” it went pretty smoothly (if you don’t count the not being finished sewing until 6pm this evening thing… ;)).

I hope you all had a fun Halloween, too.  I’m still smiling at my 20 month old squealing “tweet-twa-tweet” at each door & walking right up to people’s doors trying to go in just in case they had more candy hiding about somewhere.  Never mind that my 1st born didn’t even know what candy was at this age…he didn’t have any big brothers to show him the way!

Oh, and by the way; Peaknit won the random drawing — send me your addy, woman!  I’ll keep ya’ll posted on the 500th commenter — this prize package thing is fun to do!

Anywho, I’ll leave you with a pic of my cute baby with the 2 1/2 day Yarn Harlot Sweater I made months ago — it fits pretty well, now…and what a cutie!

PS…he just woke up muttering “tweet-twa-tweet” again… *love*

  2. I am in awe of your costuming abilities! You rock mama! Happy tweet twa tweet! Isn’t it fun how the little ones get it from the big guys example? N totally understood and I’m positive that E didn’t at his age!

  3. Wow, Cinamonamom! After viewing your costume pics I have no real excuse for not having completed the most recent Chieftess Challenge. You do beautiful work. The kids are adorable. Can’t wait to see what you come up with next year.
